Of course, there’s also the endless flow of ramen and sashimis that make the entire trip even more amazing.

1. Enjoy a Boat Ride in Mt. Fuji

This stunning snow-capped mountain is one of the tallest in the Southeast Asian region. It’s a gorgeous display of nature, towering over old Japan towns and minkas (traditional Japan houses).

You can take your special someone to see this iconic mountain while sipping hot matcha or nibbling on matcha ice cream from nearby restaurants.

You can take a small cruise along five different lakes at the base of the mountain namely Yamanaka, Kawaguchi, Saiko, Shoji, and Motosu lakes. You can see the Mt. Fuji up close through a cruise in one of these lakes.

2. Relax at the Beaches in Okinawa

Japan isn’t only known for its snowy mountains. In fact, the beaches in this country can compare to the ones in the neighboring countries.

Okinawa beaches are known for their white sand and clear blue waters. It’s a nice place to just unwind and absolutely do nothing but swim and sunbathe with your significant other. There are even secluded areas at the beach where you can spend some quiet time with each other.

If you’re on your honeymoon, Okinawa has a lot of resorts and hotels that you can choose from for your special moment.

3. Gaze the Stars in Lake Mashu

One of the most serene places in Japan is the Lake Mashu in Hokkaido. It’s a crater lake in the middle of a potentially active volcano.

Its scenic views and tranquil vibe make a great destination for lovers who want to shush the noise of the world, and just be present in the moment beside each other.

The perfect time to visit the clearest lake in the world is during night time where you can gaze at the stars since this place is no light pollution zone. Bring the ring and pop the question right here under the night sky and see if the stars have aligned for the both of you.

4. Visit the Famous Himeji Castle

Japan’s unique architecture is one of the main reasons tourists keep visiting this country. Their castles are stunning, each a different kind of gold and extravagance.

One of the most visited castles in Japan is the famous Himeji Castle in Osaka. It’s located atop a hill so you would probably see it from afar. You can take a romantic stroll in the surrounding garden while you take in the beauty of the koi pond, tea house, and a flower garden.

Anyone wouldn’t mind having this beautiful castle as a photobomber when you take a photo with your partner. Besides, it’s even named as a UNESCO world heritage site so there’s no complaining.

5. Have a Walk at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

If you’re willing to take long walks, the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is worthy of your time and effort. It’s located in northwestern Kyoto.

A vast expanse of bamboo trees will welcome you in this forest, with the amazing green and yellow hues of the trunks. The best part about this is that it feels like the trees are whispering to each other when the wind goes in their direction.

There are certain areas that are closed to the public, but even so, you will still be able to gaze at the trees while you walk hand in hand along the walking path with your partner.

It’s best to visit Arashiyama during the cherry blossom season between March and April.

6. Have a Nightlife in Tokyo

Of course, we couldn’t end the list without mentioning one of the liveliest cities in the world —  Tokyo.

Being the capital of Japan, we would say that Tokyo will overwhelm you with so many things to do. You can start off by trying out local restaurants for an authentic Japanese meal that you can share with your partner.

If you’re the type of couple who loves the night scene, Tokyo has plenty of that. You can find them in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, Roppongi, and a lot of other speakeasy ones scattered around the city. Take a sip of their famous sake and whiskeys to fully enjoy the rest of the night.

Conclusion

To go around different towns and cities in Japan can be time-consuming. You might need at least two weeks of vacation in this lovely country to really experience its unique culture.

But thanks to bullet trains and their efficient transport system, you can hop from one city to another with ease.

The only thing that you need to consider is how to bring all your stuff with all the moving around. We recommend getting yourself the best checked luggage that can carry all your belongings for a two-week trip.

If you have it now, then, there’s no stopping you to greet everyone with a lively Konnichiwa!

Spread the love
